The committee hearings represented a charade that will be unmasked in the fullness of time. People are not being fooled; they see what is going on. It is the tail wagging the dog. The Labour Party has got nothing else out of the Government for its supporters and the public and thinks the Bill is manna from heaven. When they had to be found out by tape, covertly, it is sad. This is only a first step towards a liberal regime and an insult to the public. What is being passed is an abhorrence.
