Social Welfare Bill 2011: Second Stage (Resumed)
12:00 pm
John Halligan (Waterford, Independent)
People ask where the fairness exists when 140,000 families with from three to four children, some of them the most vulnerable families in the country, are deducted much needed money. It is embarrassing to hear the Minister defend this rather than sit quietly and look ashamed. It is embarrassing to society that the Minister defends cutting payments to 140,000 of our most vulnerable people.
