I put the question raised in Mr. Gleeson's submission to the representatives from Waterways Ireland. I refer to the organisation not knowing how many people are living on canal boats and along the canals. I would expect this figure to be broken down into people who live 365 days a year on canal boats and others who live on them seasonally, perhaps when the weather is a little better. Do the witnesses from Waterways Ireland have an answer to this question?
