It is a specific and new venture to use the Irish Strategic Investment Fund, ISIF, to fund a company to involve itself in a significant way in the forestry sector. Until now, the State company, Coillte, and individual farmers were involved. What role did senior officials in the Department play in pointing Coillte in this direction?
