As commissioners designate, we are conscious that one of the factors in enhancing the effectiveness and general welcome for equality and human rights bodies is engagement with civil society. We hope to pay a great deal of attention to this factor. At EU and international standard, it is one of the benchmarks for measuring our effectiveness. We are persuaded of this.
